Create an annotation
Every time you post a new annotation, one Create credit is deducted from your Create Credits balance.

Forward an annotation
Every time to you click on the green button to Forward an annotation that you like, one Forward Credit is deducted from your Forward Credits balance. (The annotation's Available Views score ios increased by your Trust Score value).

Report an annotation
Every time you Report an annotation for being in breach of our terms of service, one Forward Credit is deducted from your Forward Credits balance. But if your Report is upheld, then you get that Forward credit back and we also boost your Trust Score by +3.

Future plans

We are planning, at some future stage, to merge Create Credits and Forward Credits into "New Credits". If and when we do that, your Forward Credits will be put into your New Credits and your Create Credits will be multiplied by 2 and that will be added to your New Credits score.

So let's say you have 40 Create Credits and 75 Forward Credits. Your New Credits score will be:

75 (from old Forward Credits) + 
40 (2 x 40 Create Credits)
TOTAL = 115 New Credits.

Forwarding an annotation will cost 1 New Credit.
Reporting an annotation will copst 1 New Credit (refundable - see above)
Creating an annotation will cost 2 New credits

So you will have the same effective credits, but will be able to use them  more flexibly. You will also be able to use them for other things, like checking your latest Trust Score and looking up Available Views of annotations.
